Hi Guys, just a little bit of information on what has happened to the Anna’s Angel’s website during the past 48 hours. You will have noticed that our website has been off line for a fair amount of time. This was due to a Denial of Service (or DoS) attack which occurs when a very high number of requests are being made on the server hosting our web site. It was a malicious and concerted attack by someone who deliberately wanted to bring a halt to our business. And they succeeded in temporarily slowing us down!! But our business did not stop.

So although the website was down it was “business as usual” at Anna’s Angels.

Our web site hosts and designers Moist Pixels did an absolutely sterling job fighting back and have managed to isolate more than 8000 IP addresses which were bombarding out web site with fake requests. Now the attack has been quelled we are upgrading our servers and installing a hardware firewall to reduce the risk of this happening again. A thorough investigation is taking place by our hosts and the relevant authorities will be informed in due course.
